Weave the Base
Weave the BaseCross the prepared vine strips to build the base that defines the bag’s proportions and structure.
Shape on the Mold
Shape on the MoldFit the woven base to a form and set the rise of the sides before building the body.
Weave the Body
Weave the BodyWork upward around the mold, controlling tension, spacing and pattern entirely by hand.
Finish the Rim
Finish the RimClose and refine the upper edge, stabilizing the silhouette and reinforcing the structure.
Attach the Handles
Attach the HandlesPosition and secure the handles to balance strength, proportion and comfort in hand.
Singe Fine Fibres
Singe Fine FibresBriefly pass the surface over flame to remove fine fibres and prepare it for a cleaner finish.
Polish the Surface
Polish the SurfaceRefine and polish the vine surface, evening the touch and bringing out its natural character.
Fit the Interior
Fit the InteriorInstall the lining and interior details, then inspect shape, feel and usability before completion.

DETAIL / HANDWORK

The difference lives in the details.

Natural vine is never perfectly uniform. Tension, spacing, corners and finishing are adjusted by hand to suit the material in front of the maker.

8つの主要工程の前後にも、素材を整える長い時間があります。

工房の製品資料では、山葡萄かごバッグの製作は素材処理から最終仕上げまでおよそ18工程に分けられます。このフローマップでは、その中でもバッグの形が生まれる流れを理解しやすい8工程を紹介。浸水、皮むき、割り、幅・厚みの調整などの下ごしらえも仕上がりを左右します。
約18工程手編みが中心天然の山葡萄藤

天然素材は一本ごとに太さ、表情、しなやかさが異なるため、張り、間隔、角、口元の収まりを職人が素材に合わせて判断します。

MATERIAL

天然の山葡萄藤

一本ごとに異なる木肌と色、強さを持つ天然素材。使い込むほど表面の色艶が深まり、持ち主の時間が表情として残っていきます。

LINING

柿渋染めの内装

9.5の製品資料では、一部の内装に柿渋染めを採用。自然な褐色と落ち着いた風合いが特徴です。仕様は商品ごとに異なるため、各商品ページでご確認ください。

CARE

お手入れ

強い雨や長時間の水濡れは避け、濡れた場合は乾いた布で水分を取り、風通しのよい日陰で自然乾燥してください。洗剤、ドライヤー、強い直射日光は避けます。
